The Paris prosecutor's office opened an investigation for "rape" and "sexual assault" after complaints from nearly thirty women against a Parisian street artist, Wilfrid A., AFP learned on Wednesday. This investigation, revealed by the magazine Neon , was opened on June 26 and entrusted to the 2nd district of judicial police (2nd DPJ), confirmed the parquet floor of Paris.

On June 22, the magazine Neon published an investigation into accusations of sexual violence targeting this Parisian artist, known for his tag "Love runs the streets" appearing in many places in Paris. "With the help of his two caps, that of the street artist and that of the photographer, Wilfrid A. would engage in a tireless hunt, which one could describe as frantic, to very young women, and this for at least a decade" wrote the magazine.

Twelve women accuse him of "rape", thirteen of "sexual assault"

Several women interviewed by the magazine described rape or sexual assault. In this first article, no complaint is recorded coming from the women having testified, but a complaint is finally announced on June 30 by Pauline Grand d'Esnon, journalist author of the investigation, on Twitter.

On Tuesday, 25 women, aged 19 to 49, implicated Wilfrid A. in a new complaint, consulted by AFP. Twelve accused him of "rape", thirteen of "sexual assault", some being minor at the time of the alleged facts, according to this complaint filed by Me Valentine Rebérioux and Me Louise Bouchain.

This complaint was joined to the preliminary investigation already opened against Wilfrid A., according to the parquet floor of Paris.

"Sexual predator"

These 25 women tell the same "stratagem" on the part of Wilfrid A., qualified as "sexual predator" playing on his "notoriety" to "assault his victims". Wilfrid A. "approaches young women in the street", often in the Montmartre district in which he resides, and "compliments" them then "generally suggests that they become his photo models or the muses of his brand".

Arrived at his home, young women, according to the text of this complaint, are often offered drugs or alcohol. Wilfrid A. would then change his attitude, becoming violent or aggressive, and would have forced some of the sexual penetration, would have committed sexual assault on others. Some also accuse him of having drugged them. Contacted, Me Joseph Cohen-Sabban, lawyer for Wilfrid A., did not respond Wednesday morning to AFP.
