The municipal council in Sollefteå: "We will continue to fight"

Östersund is proposed to become a new regiment city. That is clear since the government on Tuesday morning decided to give the Defense Force directives to implement the plans. At the same time, the chances of Sollefteå, Härnösand and Kramfors, which were launched as a common alternative, are reduced.

- Very boring, but we will continue to fight, says the municipal council of Sollefteå Johan Andersson (C).

The Defense Committee has previously proposed two new smaller regiments for territorial units. The locations that have shown interest are Sollefteå together with Kramfors and Härnösand, Östersund and Falun.

Johan Andersson believes that the race has not run because the final decision requires a parliamentary majority.

- In addition, the Västernorrland alternative should be the other alternative. We know that we have a competitive alternative, he says.
