According to him, for several years he knew Safronov as a journalist who was deeply versed in the material.
As Rogozin emphasized, he did not doubt his "high professionalism and personal decency."
Earlier it became known about the detention in Moscow of the adviser to the head of Roskosmos Safronov. He is charged under treason.
The FSB believes that he was carrying out the mission of “one of the NATO special services”, collecting and transmitting information that makes up the state secret.
Spokesman for the Russian leader Dmitry Peskov said that, according to the Kremlin, the detention is not related to journalistic activities.
