China News Service, July 7th, according to Reuters, the New Zealand government said on the 7th that due to limited isolation facilities, it has reached an agreement with Air New Zealand and agreed to suspend the provision of new inbound international flight booking services to control the number of inbound passengers.

New Zealand Housing Minister Woods said in a statement: "As the New Crown epidemic continues to worsen, we see a rapid increase in New Zealand citizens returning from overseas."

"Our first priority is to stop the virus at the border, so everyone must be quarantined. The government is still discussing traffic management with other airlines."

He also emphasized that it is a very complicated project to build new, compliant facilities that can be isolated for 14 days. I do not want to rush to establish some (isolated) facilities to meet the demand, so I can only limit the current.

New Zealand Air Force Brigadier General Weber said there are currently nearly 6,000 people in isolation at 28 facilities. In response to demand, they plan to add more isolation facilities in the coming weeks.

Air New Zealand said in a separate statement that, in addition to suspending new bookings in the next three weeks, it is also considering aligning the number of flights arriving daily with the available capacity to manage isolation facilities.
