Sergey Trunov, a war veteran from the Vyshny Volochyok, has been unable to obtain housing for him for 15 years. In 2004, the house in which the man lived burned down, but Sergei was not given a new apartment, which, according to Trunov, was supposed to be him as a participant in the hostilities. The local administration explained to the man that he was “too late” registered as a veteran in need of better housing conditions, and such benefits were no longer available to him. Sergey still lives in rented apartments and gives half of his security salary for rent. Sometimes he has to live on 3-4 thousand rubles a month.
