In a number of cities in the Kuban introduced water supply on schedule due to drought

According to the press service, in the region for more than six months there was no prolonged rainfall. At the same time, 18 of the 35 wells of the Divnomorskoye water intake were stopped due to heat. In addition, the water level in Church Lake fell to a critical point.

The administration added that a similar situation is being observed with the Neberdzhaevsky reservoir in Novorossiysk.

“Due to the large shortage of resources, all Yeysk lives according to the water supply schedule. The residents of Novorossiysk, Goryachiy Klyuch, the villages of Otradnaya, Saratov, Starominsky, Raevskaya, Natukhaevskaya, the village of Chernomorsky are experiencing the same problems, ”the administration said. 

Local residents and guests of the resorts were encouraged to conserve water.

In May, the Hydrometeorological Center warned of the threat of drought in several regions.
