Professor of dermatology and the head of the former National Center for Research in Egypt, Dr. Hani Al-Nazer, stressed that there is no fear of the spread of bubonic disease, as happened in the past centuries, indicating that the disease is caused by a bacterial infection, not a viral and treated with antibiotics.

He added: "There is one Chinese patient who was suspected to have been infected so far and who has been isolated and being treated in hospital in China."
Dr. Hani Al-Nazer explained that the disease is caused by a bacterial infection, not a viral, and treated with antibiotics such as fibramycin or Cipro, and it will be cured within ten days to two weeks as long as it was diagnosed early.
He continued: "There is no fear of the spread of bubonic disease, as happened in the past centuries, where there were no antibiotics to eliminate the bacteria that cause the disease, but now antibiotics are enough to eliminate it in the bud, God willing ... rest assured and reassured your friends."
