There are three homes in Örebro municipality and one in Hällefors where IVO believes that the deficiencies have been so serious that operations must be continued. The homes are 4 out of 91 in the country where IVO now continues with journal review. It describes the situation as extra serious.

- There are examples of people who have not received an individual assessment by a doctor but where they have made a general assessment that was not what the person needed. People have been badly affected, says Sofia Wallström, Director General of IVO, at a press conference on Tuesday.

Welcome inquiry

Anders Hedåberg is Chief of Staff for the Health and Care Administration in Örebro Municipality.
- We welcome IVO's review and are in the midst of our analysis, he says.

He sees different reasons why the three residents in Örebro municipality are identified in the IVO report.

One of them was affected by an early outbreak in the pandemic, another suffered a major outbreak for a short time and on the third accommodation a person with no apparent symptoms became ill. Two of the residents stand out in the municipality when it comes to deaths, with a total of 18 dead, according to Hedåberg.
