Anders Friberg has previous experience as head of municipality in Älvdalen municipality and he is also a trained lawyer. He will take office in the first half of October.

The recruitment has been done by the Bureau of the Regional Council, which consists of Ulf Berg (M), Sofia Jarl (C) and Abbe Ronsten (S).
