“The Lithuanian government has requested the purchase of six UH-60M Black Hawk helicopters in a standard configuration,” the document says.
The deal also includes spare engines, missile warning systems, 12 machine guns, night vision devices and more.
“These helicopters will improve interaction with the US and NATO with a quick response in a number of missions and the prompt delivery of units,” RIA Novosti quoted the document as saying.
It is clarified that Lithuania can use equipment to expand the armed forces to "provide multitasking support in the region and combat terrorist threats."
