There are the promoted (Gérald Darmanin…), the confirmed (Jean-Michel Blanquer…), the new kids (Eric Dupond-Moretti…), the fake news (Roselyne Bachelot…)… And there are the leavers. The government of new Prime Minister Jean Castex was announced on Monday evening. And some and some former ministers have not found a portfolio in this Castex I government.

Pending the announcement of the Secretaries of State, which will take place during the week, we see that Christophe Castaner, Minister of the Interior heckled by opponents of the government for his management of the demonstrations of "yellow vests", then by certain police officers , comes out of the government. This is also the case with Sibeth Ndiaye, a former government spokesperson, who has often been the target of racist and sexist harassment and mockery.

Two faithful replaced

These two former heavyweights of the government and loyal to Emmanuel Macron are replaced respectively by Gérald Darmanin at the Interior and Gabriel Attal, new secretary of state spokesman for the government.

Among the former ministers, Nicole Belloubet leaves her place of Keeper of the Seals to lawyer Eric Dupond-Moretti. And Didier Guillaume leaves the Ministry of Agriculture in favor of Julien Denormandie.
