According to the minister, the sanctions regime will allow Britain to pursue individual citizens around the world, in contrast to the usual mechanism, which provides for restrictions against specific countries.

On July 6, the British authorities published a list of people and organizations accused by London of violating human rights.

This list includes 25 Russians who are allegedly involved in the death of Sergei Magnitsky. In particular, the chairman of the Investigative Committee of Russia Alexander Bastrykin is included in the list of sanctions.
