Less than a week ago, the boy, via his lawyer, requested that the Supreme Court take up the case concerning the knife act in Björklinge in January, where a 16-year-old boy lost his life.

The boy who handed out the cutter has claimed that it was an emergency situation but was convicted by the Uppsala District Court for murder. The High Court changed the title to murder, and sentenced the sentence to two years and eight months of closed youth care.

"Nice to make a point"

The Supreme Court has now decided not to take up the case, something UNT reported.

- And with that, the judgment gains legal force. I have represented the victim's father, brother and father's cohabiting partner. For them it is nice to put a point to this, says lawyer Henrik Olsson Lilja.

SVT Uppsala is seeking the convicted boy's lawyer for a comment.
