Three weeks after the assault of a police officer, out of service, in front of his accommodation in Gerland (Lyon 7e), the police were again beaten. According to the Lyon Mag website, a gang of six individuals attacked two municipal police officers from the motorcycle brigade this Sunday morning.

Following the call of local residents, they intervened on Place Colbert (Lyon 1er) to put an end to a nighttime noise that continued this Sunday until the end of the morning. Attacked by a man, one of the police officers then fell from his machine before being hit several times. He was transported by firefighters in relative emergency, to the Saint-Joseph-Saint-Luc hospital.

All my thoughts go out this evening to our two municipal police officers, who were attacked this morning as part of their public service mission.

I wish them a speedy recovery and extend our gratitude to them. https://t.co/ShjeErpa6O
