A 28-year-old man and woman got stuck all Sunday evening, and part of the night, at the top of the big wheel installed for the summer in Place des Quinconces.
The precise circumstances of this mishap have yet to be determined. But when the attraction closed on Sunday evening, this couple did not come back down, and they were stuck several tens of meters high. Their cries for help were not heard.
It first required the intervention of the municipal police, then of the Reconnaissance and Intervention in Dangerous Environments (Grimp) group of firefighters, who had to climb on the big wheel to go and recover the two unfortunates, around 0 h 20.
