The Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia recorded attempts at external interference during the all-Russian vote on amendments to the Constitution of the Russian Federation. This was told by Deputy Interior Minister Igor Zubov at a meeting of the Commission of the Federation Council on the protection of state sovereignty.

The deputy head of the department said that throughout the entire period of preparation and conduct of the all-Russian voting, attempts were made to exert external influence on the will of Russians by distributing fakes about the voting process from mobile phones and Internet resources registered mainly abroad. The Ministry of Internal Affairs received such information both from its sources and from open sources.

“For all the facts, these facts were sent to the territorial bodies for verification. The audit was carried out by Roskomnadzor, the police and election commissions. The vast majority have not been confirmed. Currently, they are undergoing legal assessment, ”added Zubov.

In addition, he said that during the vote, the Ministry of Internal Affairs identified 209 administrative offenses. We are talking about the deliberate destruction or damage of campaign materials, the illegal issuance and receipt of a voting ballot, disobedience to the lawful order of a police officer.

As the head of the Federation Council commission Andrei Klimov said, since President Vladimir Putin proposed a number of amendments to the country's Basic Law in January when addressing the Federal Assembly, foreign opponents of Russia, “primarily from Washington,” have embarked on a large-scale and aggressive campaign to discredit both the proposed constitutional amendments and the method of their adoption with the participation of all citizens of the Russian Federation.

This campaign, said Zubov, lasted for five months, and has not stopped until now.

“In this case, both foreign media agents and Western officials are used,” he said at the meeting.

“The most active way in this campaign were the media, which are directly financed from the state budget of individual countries. These are “Voice of America”, “Deutsche Welle” and “Russian Air Force Service” and such foreign media agents as “Caucasus of Reality”, “Crimea of Reality”, “Radio Liberty”, said Senator Oleg Morozov.

Recall, on July 2, the head of the State Duma commission to investigate facts of foreign interference in the internal affairs of the Russian Federation said that the Public Chamber had collected materials on inaccurate publications in foreign media on the course of the all-Russian vote on amendments to the Constitution of the Russian Federation.

“Quite a lot of foreign media threw all kinds of false information about voting, about people, about voting methods and its consequences. This cannot be neglected, it is necessary to respond, ”TASS quoted him as saying.

Piskarev said that such media include Voice of America and Radio Liberty with units. The commission has already analyzed and sent the first part of materials about such violations to the Prosecutor General’s Office, the deputy added.

In addition, the chairman of the commission of the Public Chamber on the development of the information community, the media and mass communications, Alexander Malkevich, said that a number of provocations organized by the Voice movement were recorded in the OP. In a conversation with Channel One, Malkevich noted that the participants in the movement “also opened fake polling stations and bookmarked with fake ballots, which they themselves later found out by chance.”

“Nearly 6,000 fakes were revealed by us over these weeks, this month, related to amendments to the Constitution, the voting process. The so-called movement or association “Voice” with its own map of violations showed itself in a peculiar way. Because almost there until 2000 they put similar stories on their map. Only two messages found confirmation, ”he said.

As the head of the Commission for the Protection of State Sovereignty Andrei Klimau reported on June 25, the main reason for the intervention of Western countries and their allies is the desire of traditional opponents of the Russian Federation "to stop strengthening the sovereignty of Russia, its national security and strengthening the constitutional foundations for the stable development of the homeland, the growth of the welfare of the Russian people."

During the all-Russian vote, amendments to the Constitution of the country were supported by 77.92% of citizens with a total turnout of 67.97%.

Russian citizens were asked to answer a single question: "Do you approve of amendments to the Constitution of the Russian Federation?"

The amendments stipulate, in particular, the mandatory indexation of pensions, benefits and other social benefits; it is also stipulated that the minimum wage cannot be lower than the subsistence level. In addition, a provision is fixed on the succession of Russia to the USSR, the status of the Russian language as the language of a state-forming people, a member of the multinational union of equal peoples of Russia. Children are declared the most important public policy priority.
