05 July 2020An ambush targeted a column of vehicles of the State Police Mobile Department headed for the Tav site in Chiomonte, in the Susa Valley: in the Cels tunnel, on the A32 motorway, three points punctured the tires of the vehicles, Siulp denounced for which "it could end in a real tragedy". Digos investigates the episode.

"Fortunately, the firmness of the drivers of the vehicles in the column made it possible to avoid the worst for everyone," continues the union. For the Siulp general secretary of Turin, Eugenio Bravo, it is necessary "to act against these criminals who, steeped in violent and antistatic ideologies, are dangerously raising the level of confrontation. The only answer that a rule of law that safeguards its own authority and its political will, can only be zero tolerance ".

"It is no longer possible to hope for acts of responsibility on the part of those who for decades have forced the police and the State Authority to continue and pressing containment, prevention and repression services, to ensure the construction of the Tav that, like it or not like it, it was wanted by the legislative power that represents citizens and their sovereignty ". For this reason, according to the secretary general of Siulp Turin, "any further hesitation by the Authorities can only be considered a further weakness by these troublemakers who, hopefully, can soon be identified and locked up in the prisons".

The union concludes by asking that "law enforcement men are placed in a safe condition and can carry out their work through measures that prevent exposure to personal risks as much as possible".
