A major research facility was set up Friday evening in Tranche-sur-Mer, after the disappearance of a kite-surfer, reports the newspaper Ouest-France . A helicopter was even deployed. Finally, on the night of Saturday to Sunday, the kitesurfer, a 64-year-old man, managed to reach his home on his own after spending seven hours, completely alone at sea.

As he was hypothermic, his wife immediately called for help. The man was therefore transported to the hospital in La Roche-sur-Yon.
