John Bolton, former National Security Adviser for the White House, criticized US President Donald Trump, who criticized him for defending the "Libya model" he claimed in relation to North Korea's denuclearization approach.

In an interview with CBS Broadcasting's'Face the Nation', former aide adviser Bolton said to the host when he said he was looking into this program and said he was looking into the model for North Korea's Libya model. I will stick with it."

Then he said, "One day the President will learn some history, and he will be better about it."

"I think we can't say more clearly about the Libyan model from 2003 to 2004," said Bolton, when the host pointed out that President Trump continues to comment on the remarks of the Libyan model in the past as to why Trump's relationship with him has been distant. "We had a clear strategic decision to give up Libya's nuclear weapons program from Mar Gaddafi," he said. "We never got it from North Korea."

"Nobody predicted in 2003 and 2004 that the Gaddafi regime would overthrow the Arab spring in 7-8 years," he said.

At the end of April 2018, Bolton appeared at Fox News and CBS's Face the Nation, saying he had a Libyan model in mind regarding North Korea's denuclearization.

This was the first interview after his inauguration of the National Security Advisor.

However, President Trump has pointed out that Bolton's appearance on TV as an aide was a major cause of his disarmament with North Korea and the denuclearization deal.

President Trump recently said of Bolton's remarks, "It was one of the stupidest things I've seen on TV," and his tweets were "crazy John Bolton." Accused.

The Libyan model is a form of denuclearization based on'pre-denuclearization and post-compensation', which Bolton tried to apply to North Korea.

This is completely different from North Korea's step-by-step approach of'behavior versus action', which has shown an extreme reluctance to the Libyan model.

Libya declared the abolition of nuclear and chemical weapons programs from 2003 to 2004, reported unreported nuclear facilities to the International Atomic Energy Agency, and exported nuclear-related sensitive materials and parts.

The United States has eased economic sanctions against Libya.

Libya's head, Muamar Qaddafi, died after losing power during the 2011 Arab democracy protests.

On the other hand, former aide to Bolton said, "If President Trump can actually measure the time he spends in the office and the time he spends in a dining room with a cable news network of this or that type, it would be a very interesting statistic."

This suggests that President Trump spent much of his time watching cable TV and formed his thoughts from TV casts and outside advisors rather than from experts in the administration, CBS said.
