A woman died this Saturday afternoon falling from a roller coaster in an amusement park in Saint-Paul (Oise), we learned from concordant sources. "An accident occurred this Saturday on the Formula 1 attraction (...) A passenger fell from the vehicle traveling on the" roller-coaster "type attraction while it was in operation," reported in a press release from Parc Saint-Paul, chaired by Gilles Campion.

The firefighters intervened and tried in vain to revive the victim. No one else was injured, the statement said. A source close to the rescue said the victim was in his forties. The accident occurred shortly before 2 p.m., according to the firefighters, who did not give further information.

The gendarmerie on site

Only the area where the attraction is located has been closed and "park teams have taken care of visitors and families affected", adds the park, which is at the "disposal" of firefighters and the national gendarmerie, on place, to "collaborate with them following this accident".

The Beauvais prosecution was not immediately available. The prefecture simply confirmed that an accident had occurred in the early afternoon, without further details.
