Sharjah Municipality confirmed the intensification of oversight of water sport biking in Al Mamzar area and its continuous follow-up to it to ensure leasing companies adhere to health requirements and preventive measures after these companies have resumed their activities by 50% as determined by the emergency and crisis team in the Emirate of Sharjah, coinciding with the reopening of economic sectors And tourism in the emirate.
The Assistant Director General of the Sector for Customer Service, Khalid bin Falah Al Suwaidi, affirmed that Al Mamzar is one of the vital areas that witnesses a high turnout by the public, especially for the practice of water biking, which is increasing in demand in the summer, so the municipality is keen to monitor and follow up on this activity to ensure compliance with the instructions and instructions, In light of the current conditions and within its framework, its keenness to limit the spread of the Corona virus and with the resumption of exercising this sport by 50%, the inspection teams of the Department of Municipal Control and Inspection intensify control of this sport, to ensure compliance with health procedures and controls, which include sterilization and disinfection of the bike after each use, And wear masks and gloves.
The head of the city cleanliness monitoring department, Jamal Al-Mazmi, said that an office affiliated with the Department of Municipal Control and Inspection has been allocated at the site to monitor the progress of activity in the Al-Mamzar area, considering that the place is vital and an ideal destination, intended by many who love this sport, to enjoy the atmosphere of the sea and cold waters, in light of the high Air temperature, so the municipality is keen to perform its role through inspection teams to monitor all violations, such as not wearing a life jacket, or not adhering to the specified places, indicating that the municipality has provided a number of rescuers in the bicycle area to deal with any emergency.
