It was at 21.45 on Friday that the police received a call from people in Nässjö who had just witnessed a robbery.
- They must have seen when a man of the age of 45 was robbed of his wallet by force. The man must have received some blow, says police spokesman Åsa Willsund.
After the incident, the witnesses followed the suspected offender with a moped and then contacted the police.
- It ended with the police being able to arrest the suspected man at ICA Kvantum in Nässjö. It was a very advisable intervention by the witnesses to follow in the distance.
A man in his 20s is now suspected of robbery and will be questioned during the day. According to the police, the robbery victim should not have received any serious injuries.
