The women's group opened the chat - then girls heard of themselves during the ongoing violence

It was when the corona pandemic broke out that the Kvinnojouren Linnéan decided to open a chat.

- We know that already vulnerable groups become even more vulnerable during a crisis. That's why we wanted to start a chat, because it's easier to chat than to make a call. It doesn't sound like that either, says Petra Karlsson.

Through the chat, the business has come into contact with younger women affected. It has happened that girls were able to communicate with the women's news agency Linnéan directly during the ongoing acts of violence.

- If you are isolated with the perpetrator, a quiet chat with us can be very important.

The chat is currently only open for a few hours in the afternoon. But the need seems greater than that. Likely, the chat will remain even after the corona pandemic.
