Thus, it seems that many who have symptoms do not have covid-19.

- Respiratory symptoms can have several different causes. We know that many have had a difficult allergy season and it has been difficult to know if it is allergy or covid-19. We have also had high availability for tests, says Maria Amér, infectious disease doctor in the Gotland Region.

Low proportion of infected

Since the first case of covid-19 was discovered in Gotland in March, almost 3000 samples have been taken. The proportion found to be infected is 5.7 percent. However, several of these tests were taken on people who did not have symptoms.

However, the 500 individuals sampled at the drive-in stations should have experienced symptoms. Despite this, it is thus a low proportion that has actually been infected by the corona virus. But this does not change the view of the infection, says Maria Amér.

"This virus has covered a whole world and it is difficult to behave differently than those who have symptoms should still stay at home," she says.

In the clip below, Emma Frans tells you about the symptoms you should keep track of.
