Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has hinted at the possibility of Israel completing a prisoner exchange deal with the Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas) to recover its soldiers held by the movement since the last aggression on the Gaza Strip in 2014.

He said during his speech at a memorial ceremony commemorating the deaths of the occupation army in the "Operation Protective Edge", which the Qassam Brigades called "the eaten storm"; "We continue to work to restore the ruins of Goldin and Oron Shaul, and also Avira Mengistu and Hisham El Sayed, when we notice a window we are ready to give her a chance, and we really give her the chance."

The Israeli Prime Minister announced that the construction of the wall on the borders with the Gaza Strip will be completed by the end of this year, adding, "We are ready for any scenario."

He said that we are ready to defend by sea, air, and land, and deal with all scenarios with a very great offensive force, and he concluded by saying that whoever will try to challenge us by carrying out violence will suffer the most severe blow.

Since 2016, the Israeli army has been building a huge wall along the border with Gaza, rising about 6 meters above the ground, along with erecting a concrete wall at a depth of tens of meters underground, with the aim of providing a response to offensive tunnels.

The Israeli army launched an aggression on the Gaza Strip that began on July 8, 2014, and lasted 51 days, resulting in the death of 2323 Palestinians, including 579 children, 489 women, and 102 elderly people, according to an official census issued by the Palestinian Ministry of Health.

It also caused about 11,000 Palestinians injured, of whom 302 are women, and 100 of them have permanent disabilities, and 3,303 of the injured suffer from permanent disabilities, according to the census.

On the other hand, official Israeli data revealed that 68 of its soldiers and 4 civilians were killed, in addition to one foreign worker, and 2522 Israelis were injured, including 740 soldiers.
