Interest in boating has increased substantially

This is something that the editor-in-chief of the magazine Båtliv can confirm. The market for used boats is hot.

- There are basically no new or used boats left to buy in Sweden. It's cleaned up everywhere, says Lars-Åke Redéen.

What is popular right now are open day cruise boats suitable for family and friends. But sailboats have also had a boost, says the Redé.

- It is more environmentally friendly many times. Actually, I think this is positive for all types of boating.

Although many boats are now being purchased, many of the sites in several of Blekinge's guest ports are still empty. However, there will be fewer foreign flags this year, but it is only a matter of time before the jetties are surrounded by summer boats, Lars-Åke Redéen suspects.

- If you look in our guest harbor here in Karlskrona, it is still quite low occupancy, but probably it will start in the next week or so.
