Hundreds of employees are affectedMore than 500 employees are affected by the closure. At Birka Cruises AB, a sales company located at Slussen, 43 people are affected. The personnel on board M / S Birka Stockholm, on the other hand, are employed by another company, Rederi Eckerö AB, which has 466 employees spread over two vessels.
- What is happening now is that two vessels will become one. This means that fewer staff are needed. Now we will start negotiations with Seko seafarers and the Naval Command Association, says CEO Tomas Karlsson.
