Khaled Meshaal, the former head of the political bureau of Hamas, said that the most effective way to confront the Israeli project to annex lands and the "deal of the century" is to change the function of the authority, to be at the center of confrontation and engagement with the occupation.

He considered that the dissolution of the Palestinian National Authority is a possible option if the option to change the job fails, and if the Palestinians unite on him.

He also said that this matter needs to be studied and consultations among the Palestinians in all their whereabouts, noting that with the dissolution of the authority "if this consensus occurs with finding a serious alternative vision" according to a national program and a study that does not lead to a state of chaos.

This came in an interview with a symposium organized by the Arab Thinking Forum in London, entitled "The Palestinians and Ways to Face the Deal of the Century and the Annexation Project".

Meshaal warned that the postponement of the occupation to implement the decision to annex the lands may imply an American deception, which leads to relaxation and postponement of activities in the face of the Israeli plan.

He added that "what happened these days is not an American attempt to dissuade Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu from implementing the annexation plan," saying that the calamity is mainly an American with an Israeli wording "represented by the century deal, the transfer of the embassy to Jerusalem, and then the annexation project."

The Israeli government was to announce the start of a plan to annex large areas of the occupied West Bank, on Wednesday, according to what was previously announced by Netanyahu.

But ambiguity surrounds Netanyahu's position, especially in light of the international rejection, and the differences within his government and the American administration on the issue.

An American hoax,
and Meshaal returned, explaining that the American delegation - with its talks in Tel Aviv, in light of the differences between the partners of the "Zionist government" (Netanyahu and Benny Gantz) - tried to postpone the annexation from July to September, and implement the annexation in stages "in installments".

According to the former head of Hamas, the Americans aim behind this proposal on two things:

First, influence the US elections in favor of President Donald Trump, "confused by the decline in his fortunes in Israeli circles in Washington" and the second issue "is an attempt to dismantle the Arab-Palestinian position and neutralize Jordan on the issue of annexing the valley."

Meshaal stressed that "what is happening is an American deception, not aimed at canceling the annexation or changing its essence, but searching for a way out through a misleading tactic."

The former Hamas leader stressed the need to continue the crowd and activities and send strong messages "as Gaza did yesterday, through its missiles that sent a message that the resistance was ready, as should the West Bank and all areas of our people at home and abroad should be present."

He explained that the difference in the "Zionist" position relates to the tactical management of the annexation project, and is not at the root of the decision, pointing out that Netanyahu is afraid of losing his ally Trump in the American elections, and he who stood beside him, exceptionally, in all the steps he took in Jerusalem and the "deal of the century" And the annexation, as he fears the status of the government coalition between him and Gantz, and tries to achieve quick steps that might save him from the trial, if this file opens the coming periods as an Israeli.

A national program and a
number of Meshaal steps that can be started in this "historic opportunity", the first of which is to stop the course of the settlement and put forward a vision of confrontation with the "enemy" at all levels.

The next step is to turn these decisions into real action and representation on the ground. The third is to develop a detailed program in which all forms of Palestinian resistance and all sectors of the people in Jerusalem, the West Bank, Gaza, the territories of 1948 and the Palestinian diaspora will be involved.

It is noteworthy that the Arab Thinking Forum in London organizes seminars and dialogues on political issues and transformations in the Arab region, and devotes a special series to ways to confront the annexation of lands project and the "Deal of the Century".
