Kalmar Region

Have bought masks with invalid certificates. In addition, one is referred to as a wrong and suspected misleading “CE Certificate” by a supplier. The mask failed in testing, was advertised and never came out of business.

In addition, on a document, the certificate number has been covered and the person holding the document (manufacturer) has been removed.

Region of Sörmland

Have bought respiratory protection with certificates from several companies that do not have the authority to quality assure such goods. Documents on the masks have names with the designation "CE", although they do not have the correct CE marking. On a certificate, the manufacturer's name is pixelated. A mask also indicates a CE mark which is invalid.

The purchases were made at an early stage, the region says. It did not then know that there were counterfeit or invalid certificates in circulation.

The region does not claim to have masked certificates. According to the supplier, this is to prevent it from being rounded by ordering the customer directly to the manufacturer.

Region Västerbotten

Has bought one of the worst respirators that Swedish authorities and suppliers have tested, as far as is known. The mask permits up to ten times as much droplets as allowed.

The region points out that these protections have not been used in any business.

Eskilstuna

Have bought mask with certificate from unauthorized company. According to the municipality, it has not been tested even though it has been used on elderly housing.

In addition, the respirator has an invalid CE mark as it refers to a company that is not allowed to certify such products.

The municipality claims that the procurement has followed the correct procedures. "We do not control special deliveries, but assume that our suppliers deliver according to the agreed specification," writes Eskilstuna's procurement manager.

Hoor

Have bought masks with certificates from two companies that are both unauthorized to issue such certificates. A certificate has also been forged according to one of the companies. On several documents from suppliers, names of manufacturers and other information have been pixelated or deleted.

Höör points out that the equipment was not used, that the purchasing guidelines were unclear and that government authorities should have handled orders.

Kungalv

Has bought masks with invalid certificate. The protection has been applied to, among other things, housing for the elderly. However, they have worked satisfactorily as far as the municipality's staff has been able to assess, according to Kungälv.

Lekeberg

Bought mask with invalid certificate, which you have not used. The supplier incorrectly writes in an e-mail to the municipality that they have "attached our CE certificate". Even in advertising material for Lekeberg, the respiratory protection is incorrectly claimed to be CE-marked.

SVT has applied to the municipality for a comment.

Lysekil

In information material from the supplier, someone has hidden some information with a black pencil on the mask that the municipality bought. The respirators also carry the CE symbol, although they have not been examined by any competent body.

The municipal contractors do not say what information has been hidden, by whom or why. The mask should not have been used either.

Ovanåker

The supplier has sold incorrectly certified masks, which according to the municipality have been used in the home service even though they have not been tested.

At the time, Ovanåker did not know that certification was wrong, says the municipality. When they realized that, they were removed. According to the municipality, the infection also did not spread in the operations when the protection was used.

Upplands-Bro

Certificates for masks from companies that do not have that authority. The protection has recently been used on elderly residents and in home care, without being tested first.

Upplands-Bro Municipality has no comment on the information.

Uppsala

Supplier incorrectly calls certificate of "CE certificate" and markets respiratory protection as "CE approved". The masks have not been tested but have previously been used in the business, the municipality admits.
