As noted, the decree was introduced in connection with an emergency in municipal forests in the territories of Aby and Nizhnekolymsky districts, a long established fire hazard class IV-V, and an increase in the number and area of fires resulting from adverse weather conditions with dry thunderstorms.
According to the authorities, at present, measures are being taken to extinguish 30 forest fires in 15 municipalities in the territory with a total area of 1,519 hectares.
