According to reports, on Monday June 29, security forces raided the home of the religious guide in Tanwalbougou. Several people, civilians, are arrested. According to the Collective against Impunity, " the reason for these arrests has not been notified ".
This collective is worried and asks the administrative and military authorities to do everything possible so that these people do not suffer the same fate as the twelve dead at the gendarmerie station during their police custody on May 11th.
A few hours after these arrests, lifeless bodies were discovered by residents near the village. The Collective against Impunity and Stigmatization of Communities denounces " extrajudicial executions ", accusing the security forces.
In a statement, the Ministry of Defense explains that it was after a " military operation " carried out near Tanwalbougou that the " seven bodies of individuals shot dead " were discovered by the residents at the edge of the locality. He ensures that an administrative investigation is opened to shed " all the light on this affair ". And " if the responsibility for elements of the SDS was established, the authors will answer for their acts ".
