The Madrid Assembly has constituted this Wednesday the study commission for the economic and social recovery of the region after the pandemic of COVID-19 with the election of the members of its Bureau, which will be chaired by the PSOE and whose majority will hold the left after Vox abstaining from the vote by refusing to reconstruct "nothing" with the socialists.
Once the commission is constituted, the parliamentary groups have five days to propose the list of those appearing who want to call this commission, whose work is scheduled to last for two months, with the possibility of establishing an extension.
The first session of the new body created for the reconstruction of the region, at the proposal of the PSOE, under the official title is 'Study Commission for the recovery and promotion of the economic and social activity of the Community of Madrid' , is scheduled to be held celebrate this Friday and hold a total of seven sessions in July.
The committee table has been made up of Carlos Carnero (PSOE) as president, Enrique Martínez Carnero (Ciudadanos) as vice president and Alberto Oliver (Más Madrid) as secretary.
Thus, the left has taken over the majority of the commission's governing body because Vox has abstained from voting to appoint members of the Mesa.
Vox has refused to participate in this parliamentary commission because it refuses to reconstruct "nothing with the PSOE of Pedro Sánchez" and to participate "in the pacts of the tricenter", so they will only go to it as listeners "to collect the opinions of the corresponding appearing. "
At a press conference after the Board of Spokespersons, Vox spokeswoman, Rocío Monasterio, expressed her rejection of this "commission of exculpation" that seeks to exempt responsibilities between governments in the "negligent" management of the health crisis, and accused the PP of "kneel" before the socialists.
Vox's abstention from voting has left the majority in the new parliamentary body, an action that Ciudadanos spokesman César Zafra has criticized on his Twitter account.
"A week ago, the Monastery said that the left could not speak. Today, it has not blinked to give the PSOE the Presidency of the commission for the reconstruction of the Madrid Assembly. The standard-bearers of purity before the mirror," he said.
According to the working rules approved by the Assembly Table, the commission will have 19 deputies - five belonging to the PP, four to the PP, four to Ciudadanos, two to Vox and one to Unidas Podemos - and will have four lines of work: reinforcement of public health ; economic revival; strengthening social protection systems and improving the tax system; and Madrid's position against Spain and the EU.
Those appearing in the commission (maximum of three per session) may be "experts, professionals, representatives of the Government and of the regional administration" and any other individual deemed appropriate.
Once their work has been carried out within a period of two months -without prejudice to a possible extension-, an opinion will be drawn up with conclusions that will then be submitted to the plenary session of the Regional Chamber
