The number of deaths due to coronavirus in Africa exceeded 10 thousand

According to published information, 403,692 cases of coronavirus and 10,126 deaths among those infected were recorded in African countries.

Almost 50% of all reported cases of COVID-19 are in South Africa (151,209).

On June 16, more than 248 thousand cases of coronavirus in Africa were reported.

At the end of April, WHO head Tedros Adhan Ghebreyesus stated that the situation with the spread of coronavirus infection in Africa is worrying.
