In December, the People's Rescue Rescue Hultgården / Charlottagården in Misterhult started a name gathering and in April a list of 2300 names was handed over to politicians to get a referendum to save the residents.

But then came the message that almost all the names on the list were invalid according to two lawyers employed by the municipality. There was no name clarification on more than 2000 signatures.

Supplementary lists

When the error was discovered, the initiators contacted the lawyers who confirmed that there must be a name clarification, but according to the lawyers it was not important who wrote the clarification. The People's Initiative then requested a copy of the name lists to supplement with name clarification.

In the municipal council on June 8, the referendum requirements were rejected, as the lists were invalid and the People's Initiative's request to supplement the lists with name clarification was rejected.

Want to get the lists valid

The JO initiative now reports to Oskarshamn Municipality because they do not find that there is any legal support for rejecting the completion of the lists submitted well in advance of the municipal council's meeting on June 8.

Eva Holm, who is one of the initiators of the collection, writes in the JO notification that the name lists must be considered valid and form the basis for a referendum on preserving the elderly homes in Misterhult.
