The alarm came just before half past six. A woman in her 30s had been beaten with an affair by another woman who then left the scene. The abuse must have occurred outdoors in a residential area in Värnamo. The injured woman was taken to hospital by ambulance. She sustained injuries following a severe injury and was assessed by police to be seriously injured.

The police had suspicions about who the perpetrator was and searched for her during the evening. At 23, she could be picked up in a home in a community outside Värnamo. 

After questioning, the woman was arrested by prosecutors and is likely to be suspected of attempted murder.
