• Interior. The 'Kitchen' Police spied on Luis Bárcenas 24 hours a day
  • 'Operación Kitchen' .. Interior stole from Bárcenas his schedule and payment notes in 'B'

The Court of Instruction number 6 of the National Court that investigates the so-called 'Operation Kitchen' maintains that the Police illegally stole Luis Bárcenas "documents and audio files that would be compromising for certain PP leaders."

EL MUNDO has had access to a resolution issued by the instructor, which has remained secret until now, specifying that the judicial investigation into the "para-police operation" launched in 2013 by the Government of Mariano Rajoy to snatch the former treasurer 'Popular' compromising material against the party and its leadership had "a positive result". Both with regard to documentary evidence and recordings in which conversations with high-ranking PP officials were recorded.

According to the National Court, until now "investigators have been informed of a police operation called 'Kitchen' or 'Kitchen', which would be aimed at locating documents, as well as the discovery of activity of related police-judicial interest with the activity of the former treasurer of the PP Luis Bárcenas ". "Specifically," says the judge, it has been learned of the existence of various audio files housed in the pendrive reported as a BE9 sign intervened at the El Montecillo farm, José Manuel Villarejo's habitual residence. "

This confiscated material "would demonstrate that said operation would exceed the legally established framework and that it would go without legal authorization, or with a manifest excess of what it might initially have had, to the location of documents and audio files" with sensitive information on the old dome of the PP.

However, and despite assuming that the removal of the aforementioned material sensitive to Bárcenas took place, he adds that it has not been possible to contribute to the cause all of the stolen material, which the investigators are still trying to locate.

In turn, the judge considers it proven that "in the course of said police operation, reserved funds would have been used to carry out the objectives." "These funds would present a formally official nature, but with manifestly illegal content, which would entail a diversion of state resources to achieve spurious purposes unrelated to those that are characteristic of the State Security Forces and Bodies."

EL MUNDO has already revealed exclusively that within the framework of 'Operation Kitchen' the Police set up a device to steal Bárcenas' personal and work agendas, abundant documentation on the party's' box B 'throughout Spain and their mobile phones. These last devices were illegally provided to the Police by Bárcenas' driver, Sergio Ríos, who was captured as a police confidant, and cloned in the Madrid Vips cafeteria on Ortega y Gasset Street. In these terminals, Bárcenas housed, among other elements, all his messages with the leaders of the PP, including the famous SMS that was exchanged with former Prime Minister Mariano Rajoy in which the latter showed his support ('Luis, be strong, We do what we can ') after discovering his hidden fortune in Switzerland and which were published by this newspaper.
