According to the woman's report, the incident occurred one evening in June in Växjö municipality when she cycled home from work. Suddenly she felt something was happening. She stopped, looked at her forehead and saw blood. She made suspicions that she had been hit by a bullet from a carbon dioxide gun.

An ambulance was called and she was examined. According to the woman's report, the ambulance staff assessed that her condition was stable after transplanting.

The bullet had to be cut away

The days after the incident, the woman had a headache and the swelling got worse gradually. She then contacted a doctor who discovered that the bullet remained under the skin of her forehead. An X-ray was made and the next day the bullet could be removed during an operation.

Now the woman has reported the incident to the Inspection for Health and Care, IVO. She is critical that the ambulance staff missed that the bullet remained in the boiler and questions their competence.
