EU publishes list of countries for which it opens borders

The list is published on the website of the European Council.

Russia, USA, Brazil, Ukraine, Belarus were not included in it.

The list includes Algeria, Australia, Canada, Georgia, Japan, Montenegro, Morocco, New Zealand, Rwanda, Serbia, South Korea, Thailand, Tunisia, Uruguay.

Also, citizens of China will be allowed into the EU, subject to reciprocity for citizens of the European Union from the Chinese side.

It is noted that the list will be reviewed every two weeks.

Earlier it was reported that the authorities of the European Union may maintain a ban on entry into the territory of the association for residents of Russia, the USA and Brazil due to the situation with the coronavirus infection COVID-19 in these countries.

The New York Times wrote about this with reference to the draft document and officials.

The European Commission recommended that the EU countries begin to gradually open partially external borders for citizens of other states from July 1.
