The Liberal Democratic Party's League of Parliament has submitted a request to Chief Cabinet Secretary Suga to apply public medical insurance to infertility treatment.
Chairman of the Liberal Democratic Party's Parliamentary League, which aims to expand support for infertility treatment, and the former Chairman of the Parliament of Amari Tax System, Seiko Noda, visited the Prime Minister's residence on the 30th, and handed the request to Chief Cabinet Secretary Kan.
The request form calls for the application of public medical insurance for infertility treatment and the development of an environment so that both men and women can balance infertility treatment and work.
In response, Chief Cabinet Secretary Suga stated that he would "proactively proceed".
The Parliamentary Union also wants to reflect what it has requested in the government's “bone policy,” Amari told reporters, “There are still issues with regard to infertility treatment. I would like to continue to consider what kind of policy should be adopted by listening to him."
