Sometimes a misunderstanding can have serious consequences. On June 22, a young man experienced it bitterly, in Tourville-sur-Arques, near Dieppe (Seine-Maritime). That day, he went to his girlfriend to spend the night, reports Actu.fr . But the latter wanted to party and therefore would have preferred to leave him alone to go to friends.

She would then have confided in her romantic relationship to two men, aged 16 and 19. She would have explained to them that they often quarreled right now. It was at this point that the mistake occurred: the two young people mistakenly understood that the young woman was beaten by her companion and decided to do justice themselves.

Woken up by his burning car

They waited until their friend fell asleep to go get gas and set fire to her boyfriend's car, the site said. The unfortunate man was woken up around 6 am by the noise and could only see that his Twingo was burning. He then alerted the police.

According to the investigation, the two arsonists then boasted to the young woman, who then made it clear to them that she was not beaten. Investigators quickly identified the suspects and arrested them. They would have recognized the facts in police custody. The oldest will soon appear before the Dieppe criminal court, the minor before a children's judge.
