The Venezuelan leader also demanded an end to "European colonialism" and "persecution" in relation to the Bolivarian Republic.

In April, the head of EU diplomacy, Josep Borrell, called for making sure that sanctions against Syria, Venezuela, Iran and the DPRK do not impede the provision of medical and humanitarian assistance to them in a pandemic.
