More than 300 new cases of Covid-19 detected per day: figures like those of the last week, the Czech Republic had not posted for nearly three months. For the Czech Minister of Health, this is proof that the virus is far from having disappeared in this country where 348 people died according to official figures.

However, the Czech authorities want to be reassuring. The increase would be due to the screening campaign carried out in regions where people have been infected within a limited area. This is the case in the Silesian region on the border with Poland, especially among the employees of a coal mine and their entourage, with a large majority of people showing no symptoms of the disease.

Suddenly, the new phase of deconfinement planned for Wednesday will not concern this eastern region or Prague, the capital, where wearing a mask will remain mandatory in the metro and during any gathering of more than 100 people.

The Czech Ministry of Health would like to develop the system called "  intelligent quarantine  ", based in particular on a digital tracking application, which remains far from having been downloaded by enough users to be effective.
