June 29, 2020 The carabinieri are looking for two people who in the early hours of this morning overwhelmed a 48-year-old carabiniere, now hospitalized in a reserved prognosis. It happened in Mordano, in the province of Bologna. The two would be part of a gang, which, around 4 o'clock, attempted a theft in a tobacconist's in Lugo, in the Ravenna area. They fled, their car was intercepted by a patrol and the military was run over. The two are wanted for attempted murder.

The invested soldier, crew chief of the Imola mobile radio, was taken by helicopter to the Maggiore hospital in Bologna. He suffered from head injury, dislocation of his right shoulder and microfracture of a vertebra. The two thieves wanted would be part of a gang of four, who fled Lugo aboard an Alfa 159. Searches were immediately launched throughout the area. After about twenty minutes the patrol positioned in Mordano, between via Lughese and via Cavallazzi, ordered the alt to an approaching Alfa 159. The car stopped and two of the four passengers opened the doors and fled the fields. The driver and the man sitting next to him resumed the race, running over the military. A few hours later in the suburbs of Bologna, via Rivani, a car was found burnt down by the police, which could be the one used by the gang.
