The alarm came in at 02.40 night to Sunday and several police patrols were sent to a residence in Skiftinge in northern Eskilstuna.

"We are on the scene investigating a serious crime, it is a murder, but I do not want to go into the circumstances because it is so early in the investigation," Kristian Malzoff, the police officer in charge, told TT.

According to the order, there must have been someone in the vicinity of the current residence who called in the SOS alarm.

- We have no detention at present but work broadly, says Kristian Malzoff to TT.

Police say a preliminary investigation into a serious violent crime has been initiated.

"Several police patrols are on site in the area and are conducting initial investigative measures, including holding interrogations with witnesses," the police write on their site.
