Always as impressive offensively, Atalanta Bergamo won 3-2 on the lawn of Udinese Sunday during the 28th day of Serie A, and thus consolidated their 4th place and widened the gap on AS Rome, beaten by AC Milan.

The Atalanta were among the teams that had a late game to catch up before the return from Serie A at a normal pace. In 10 days, the Bergamo team therefore played three times, for three victories: 4-1 against Sassuolo, 3-2 against Lazio Rome and 3-2 again Sunday in Udine.

Gian Piero Gasperini's men scored 10 goals to confirm the reputation of the "Dea" scoring machine. The three goals on Sunday are very beautiful and 100% Colombian, with the opening of the score signed Zapata then a double from Muriel.

With this success, Atalanta temporarily returns to one length from the podium and from Inter Milan, which will play in the evening (9:45 p.m. / 7:45 p.m. GMT) in Parma to try to keep pace with the two leaders, Juventus (1st) and Lazio Rome (2nd), who both won, respectively Friday against Lecce (4-0) and Saturday against Fiorentina (2-1).

Above all, the Bergamasques have further solidified their 4th position, which is very expensive since it ensures a place in the Champions League.

Atalanta now has nine points ahead of AS Rome, beaten 2-0 at San Siro by AC Milan (7th) and who seemed far too exhausted to hope to catch up on the team of Bergamo.

"We gave victory to Milan. There are no excuses," said giallorossi coach Paulo Fonseca. His team still seemed to be in physical pain and the game schedule may have been important.

Once the resumption of the championship had been decided, the League had looked into the question of match schedules and had sought to favor the parties at night, at 9:45 p.m. or 7:30 p.m.

Only ten matches, out of the more than 120 to be played, were scheduled at 5:15 p.m., including this Milan-Roma, and we understood why on Sunday.

With a necessarily precarious physical condition after three months of interruption of competitions and in the stifling heat of the Milanese summer, the first period was thus extremely weak between the two teams.

But after the break, Milan were clearly superior to the obviously tired Roma who had very few chances.

Dominators, the Rossoneri opened the brand by Rebic (76th), who made three attempts before managing to take advantage of a gift from the Roman side Zappacosta.

One minute from the end, the Frenchman Théo Hernandez then obtained a penalty kick, transformed into strength by Calhanoglu (89th).

With this success, the first of the season against a Top 6 team, Milan moved into 7th place and can still believe in the Europa League.

Three points ahead of Milan and three points behind Roma, we find Napoli by Gennaro Gattuso, who confirmed his excellent form by beating Spal 3-1, thanks to goals from Mertens, Callejon and Younes.
