Brazilian star Ronaldinho is close to returning to action and retiring after receiving an important offer from Argentine soccer legend Diego Maradona.

The Spanish newspaper Marca reported that Ronaldinho had received an offer to join the Argentinian club Jimenaia La Plata, who is currently overseeing his training, Maradona.

Ronaldinho put an end to his career in 2015 in the colors of the Brazilian club Fluminense, and Marca said that the 40-year-old Brazilian star aspires to return to the stadiums, in order to overcome the difficult experience he lived during the past months.

Ronaldinho, along with his brother in Paraguay, was arrested on charges of using false passports, and was imprisoned for about 3 months before being released on bail of 1.6 million euros, while being subjected to house arrest in a hotel in the capital Asuncion pending his trial.

Maradona has been supervising the training of Khimnasia since last September, and the team survived the fall to the second degree after canceling the competitions this season due to the outbreak of the Coruna virus.
