Bayern already sacred, attention will focus on Saturday the distance duel between Mönchengladbach and Leverkusen for the fourth qualifying place for the Champions League, during the 34th and last day of the Bundesliga (all matches at 3.30 pm).

Borussia, who will evolve without his French Alassane Pléa and Marcus Thuram, injured, has his destiny in his hands: with two points ahead of the Bayer and a very favorable goal difference, a draw at home against Hertha Berlin will be enough to maintain its position in the head square.

The Hertha, set in tenth place, has nothing left to lose or gain.

A qualification for the queen competition would reward an exceptional season, largely due to the performance of the Thuram-Pléa pair (ten goals each), who saw Mönchengladbach occupy first place in the ranking for two months between October and December.

The "Foals" will however have to chase the ghosts of last season, when they lost 2-0 at home to Dortmund on the last day, yielding in extremis fourth place to ... Leverkusen!

"I have confidence in my team," said coach Marco Rose, who was not on the bench last year, "We know the chances and the risks. We can decide for ourselves which way it is will go ".

Leverkusen, who receives Mainz, has nothing to do but to win and hope for a miracle, if he wants to find the C1 for the second consecutive season.

The other issue of this last day is the fate of Bremen, a monument of German football about to descend into the second division, after having played 56 of the 57 seasons among the elite since the creation of the Bundesliga in 1963.

The Werder is no longer master of its fate. In the penultimate position with two points behind the potential barracks Düsseldorf, Bremen on its lawn will have to beat Cologne and hope for a defeat for Fortuna in Berlin, on Union ground.

At the top of the table, Munich and Dortmund are assured of the first two places, in that order. Leipzig, currently third, is certain to play in the next Champions League, but must still make sure to stay one step ahead of Mönchengladbach to stay on the podium.

Downstairs, the last Paderborn, promoted this season, is already in the elevator for the second division. The other relegated and barrage places are therefore played between Bremen and Düsseldorf.
