These doctors are expected since early April in Martinique and this medical cooperation between Cuba and France is a first, a great pride also for the Cubans. And the hardest thing for them is not the fear of being contaminated by the coronavirus but of mastering French.

Doctor Cobaz Mesa is one of fifteen Cuban doctors leaving for Martinique. Among them are specialists in nephrology, hematology and radiology, specialties in tension at the CHU of Martinique and at the Saint-Paul clinic. This general practitioner had fought against Ebola in Sierra Leone, today it is against the coronavirus and in France that he will proudly carry the values of Cuban medicine.

France like any other country needs medical attention and above all disinterested medical attention. We the only idea that motivates us is to save lives, this is what is most important for a Cuban doctor.

Departure in military style for this army of white coats, as tradition dictates: national anthem, applause and speech by the director of the medical cooperation unit, Jorge Juan Delgado: “  You are leaving and we trust you to accomplish this mission of high level and proudly wear the colors of Cuba and its flag! Viva Fidel! Viva Raul! "

Serving France for these Cuban doctors is priceless pride. No figures on the amount of this cooperation have been communicated.
