Disney has decided to postpone the release of "Mulan" for another time, this time for mid-August, when the pandemic of new coronavirus is still raging in North America and the world.

After a first postponement, "Mulan", a live version of the famous cartoon, should have been released in theaters on July 24.

"The pandemic has changed Mulan's exit plans and we will be flexible as the situation requires," said Disney in a statement signed by co-chairs Alan Bergman and Alan Horn.

"Director Niki Caro, our actors and the team have created a magnificent, epic and moving film that is all that the cinematographic experience should be. And we believe that its place is on the world stage and on the big screen so that people around the world are enjoying it, "they wrote.

The move comes after Warner Bros. postponed until mid-August the release of yet another great summer movie, "Tenet" by Christopher Nolan - an agency thriller trying to stop World War III.

Warner Bros. also expressed the need to be "flexible" when announcing its decision.

In early April, Disney decided to postpone the release of a dozen Marvel films and other major productions including "Black Widow", with Scarlett Johansson in the title role. The release is now scheduled for November which automatically shifts the other films in the series to come.
