A 78-year-old Mexican man has become a cooking star on YouTube, after the Corona Virus pandemic forced him to stay at home.

"It's a boom ... I'm trying to get people to have fun, and that's the most important thing for me," said Carlos Elizondo Frias - known as "Teto Charlie" with 420,000 subscribers to his site.

Frias appears in his nine videos on YouTube working in his kitchen, preparing various dishes, and the fun videos, one of which he performed the dance, achieved a million and 300,000 hits on YouTube.

The widower husband - the father of three daughters and the grandfather of six children - worked as a contractor throughout his life, and he had a transportation company and then devoted himself to providing electricity to the buildings under construction.

After the Corona pandemic forced him to stay at home, he had nothing to do.

"I am very active," he told German news agency from Monterrey, noting that he had organized his entire house in a few minutes.

The man who was astonished by his success on YouTube does not know what he will do when the pandemic subsides, and he said, "Whatever comes next, no matter how things develop, what matters to me is enjoyment."
